Wigmore 2 - 6 Bramingham - October 2017
Another away trip for Bramingham's football team this week, Wigmore being the destination for the next game. The boys started quietly, but a cool, calm finish from Harry B and an equally good finish from Tristin proved enough to send us into the lead after a quarter of the game had gone. Courtney came on at the beginning of the second quarter and quickly made a difference, scoring two goals in quick succession. Arnez had very little to do in goal during the first half but his kicking up to Adham made it hard for Wigmore to defend. Tyler was not letting anything past him in our defence, with him and Charlie being very unlucky to concede a second goal. Scott stayed alert in goal during the second half, as did Kristian who capitalised on an opposition mistake to score, followed by another excellent finish to grab a second.
Another excellent performance from Bramingham. We have two games left in the winter league with Beech Hill our next opponents. Keep a look out for the next results.
Putteridge 3 - 2 Bramingham - September 2017
After a great start to the season last week, Bramingham made the journey to Putteridge on Thursday 28th September to play their second fixture.
A quick start from the hosts sent them into an early 1-0 lead and before long it was 2-0. Some good goal kicks from Arnez allowed Adham to have some good chances in the first half, and some excellent corners from Harry B also bought some chances for Charlie but no goals before the break. Bramingham looked much more up for it in the second half, with substitutes Harry C and Tristin making a difference. Some quick thinking from Harry B and Tristin led to the latter scoring a great goal from  short corner. Shortly afterwards, Putteridge made it 3-1 but the boys did not give up. Kristian and Makai played very well out wide, making space for others to get involved and before long, Bramingham got themselves back in it again. Some confusion in a Putteridge attack and some quick thinking by Tyler released Tristin who fantastically assisted Adham to make it 3-2. Scott continued to be excellent in goal to keep us in with a chance, but unfortunately we could not find that final goal to draw level.
Although the result was not what the boys wanted, their second half performance was very encouraging against a very good Putteridge team.
Surrey Street 2 - 7 Bramingham - September 2017
Bramingham travelled away to Surrey Street to play their first match of the season on 21/09/17. The boys got off to a flying start, going into a 4-1 lead by half time thanks to goals from Kristian (2), Adham and Charlie, with Adham playing very well up front and contributing in all of the goals. Scott began the second half in goal and pulled off some excellent saves as well as a clever piece of goalkeeping just outside the area to limit Surrey Street to just the 1 goal in the second period. Arnez joined the other outfield players to score a great header, and our goalscoring was completed by Kristian finishing nicely to gain his hat-trick and another from Adham. Throughout the game, Harry's passing was strong with both feet and started many attacks after getting his head up to unselfishly play in his team mates. Makai's defensive work down the right helped Tyler and Charlie at the back, with the two defenders working very well alongside each other to only concede two goals.
A very encouraging start to the season with a 7-2 win and 3 points for Bramingham. Our next fixture will be played away to Putteridge so keep a look out for the next match report.
The football season has begun and Bramingham have several upcoming fixtures that will be played before October half term. These games will be against the following schools:
