Miss Suleman and Mrs Parkar
PE will be held outside on Monday and Thursday every week. Please ensure your child has suitable trainers and clothing for the outdoors, especially as we approach Autumn/Winter. Ideally navy/black tracksuits and something long sleeved.
This half term our topic is 'How does your garden grow?'. We will be reading 'The Magic Faraway Tree' and planting seeds. We will look at different types of trees, life cycles of plants, how water is transported in plants and we will also set up an investigation to find out what plants need to grow well!
Our topic last half term was 'Who wants to jam in the Caribbean?'
We learnt about a tropical version of Cinderella set amongst palm trees and sunny skies. We made patties and also tasted some exotic fruit!
Miss Nafeesa Suleman
Miss Suleman works on Monday and Tuesday.
Mrs Sabreen Parkar
Mrs Parkar works on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
Spellings: will go out on a Friday and be due in on the following Wednesday. A spelling test will be scheduled on the Friday after they have been given out.
Maths homework: will go out on a Friday and be due in on the following Wednesday.
Reading: please ensure you read with your child at home regularly and sign their reading record. If their reading record is signed at least 3 times in one week, they will earn a star on the Star Readers chart. If they have collected enough stars by the end of the half term, they will be awarded a Star Readers certificate and prize!
Recently, your child will have received a CGP comprehension activity book. These need to be completed at home and brought back in every Monday so we can go through the answers in class. They will then be sent out again in time for the next reading activity to be completed.
