At Bramingham Primary we believe that the teaching and learning in science should excite and foster our children’s natural curiosity throughout their time at school and beyond; enabling them to explore, care for and develop a deeper understanding of the world around them.
It is our intent that every child will develop a progressive understanding of scientific knowledge, concepts, skills and specialist vocabulary and will begin to understand the implications and uses of science, today and for the future.
We aim to deliver an engaging, enquiry-based curriculum which encourages our children to ask questions, make observations, work practically, investigate their ideas, make choices, take risks (and learn from their mistakes) as well as being able to communicate their findings in a variety of ways. By the end of their time at Bramingham, it is our intent that the children are confident in using the knowledge and skills acquired to explore their own scientific-based questions and are able to independently select the appropriate scientific enquiry to do so.
